Iva is the Editor of diamond OA journal Food Technology and Biotechnology. In over 20 years of work she has mastered various aspects of scholarly communication, such as creation of editorial policies, handling manuscript submissions and peer review process, similarity text check, proofreading and preparation for printing, metadata preparation, use of persistent identifiers, and promotion of research. She is one of the founders and current President of CROASC, member of HRČAK Advisory Board, EASE Vice President, Chair of Croatian Regional Chapter, Co-Chair of Environment and Sustainability Committee, and a member of OPERAS Special Interest Group on Best Practices. Her current focus is on best practices in diamond OA and sustainability in scholarly publishing.
